Lodgement season calendar 2026-27

Most practices keep the year's dates in someone's head. Or on a whiteboard. Or in a spreadsheet that was right last July. This calendar puts the 2026-27 dates in one list. It covers BAS quarters and monthly activity statements, the 31 October cut-off, lodgment program dates for agent clients, FBT, TPAR and the end-of-year super deduction date. Filter it to the work you actually do. Then download it into your own calendar so the dates sit next to your appointments. Each line links to the ATO page it came from. The "last checked" date at the bottom tells you when we last matched it against the ATO.

Tick at least one box and choose a lodgment method to see the dates.

How this works

Filter the date list by the boxes ticked and the lodgment method. Sort by date. Hide past dates unless the toggle is on. Show the days until each date. Activity statement dates that fall on a weekend show the next business day, as the ATO allows; other rows show the date as the ATO lists it. The self or paper view hides the agent-only program dates.

Frequently asked questions

When do new clients need to be on our books for the lodgment program?

The ATO lists 31 October 2026 as the final date to add new clients so their 2026 tax return is covered by the lodgment program. People switching agents should get in touch before then too.

What's 5 June 2027 about?

It's a concession. Not a due date. Returns with a 15 May 2027 due date won't attract failure-to-lodge penalties if they're lodged, and any liability paid, by 5 June. Large and medium taxpayers are excluded, and companies and super funds have extra conditions.

Do these dates apply to every client?

They're the general dates the ATO publishes. Some clients get a different date in a letter from the ATO, so check their own notices and the ATO page linked on each line.
